St. Bernard Parish Community Survey 2007

The Sociology Department of Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge is doing a survey to see how people from different communities in St. Bernard Parish are doing a year after Hurricane Katrina. We are not doing any fund raising or selling anything.

This survey is designed to help us understand what's happening with your St. Bernard community since Hurricane Katrina. We'd like to find out the reasons why people have decided to return or move away, how community recovery is coming along, and what these things will mean for the future of St. Bernard. We are conducting this survey for academic research and to help community leaders make good decisions.

Of course, any answers you give are completely confidential, and you are free to refuse to answer any question or to end the survey at any time. We will report results only in aggregate, percentaged form. We will not release data with personally identifying information.

If you would like to verify that this really is a project of LSU, you can look at the LSU Sociology Department website (www.lsu.edu/sociology)
